Shalin Bhagwan joins SGPE Advisory Board

Shalin follows Toby Nangle and Jill Davys, who joined the Advisory Board in December 2023.
Shalin Bhagwan, the Chief Actuary of the Pension Protection Fund.

Shalin Bhagwan becomes the newest member of the SGPE Advisory Board.

We are delighted to announce that Shalin Bhagwan will be joining our Advisory Board.

Since inception in 2021, all our Masterclass events have been developed in consultation with our very distinguished Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board comprises several leading experts from all sectors of the pensions industry, who provide their insights and expertise in what they view are the key issues currently facing UK pensions. These ideas form the starting blocks of our event programmes.

Shalin was first involved with SGPE during our Endgame Masterclass at the end of 2021, whilst he was working at DWS Investments, where he gave a presentation on maximising performance in a negative cash flow environment, exploring the strategies that trustees have available to them.

Now 3 years on, Shalin has moved on from DWS, now serving as the Chief Actuary of the Pension Protection Fund

Shalin needs hardly any introduction to all our many supporters in the pensions world. He brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned actuary, and an investment adviser, especially across the range of fixed income strategies, both in the commercial and now public sectors.

We will greatly value Shalin’s insights and wisdom in the development of our ambitious Masterclass events programme for 2024.

– Stephen Glover, Founder & Director, SGPE

Shalin will participate as a Devil’s Advocate in our next Masterclass of our Climate Change Mini-Series, Rethinking Stewardship, on Tuesday 30th January 2024.
