Nearly 90 leading pensions figures and advisers attended SG Pensions Enterprises’ first in-person event for 2025 in a day of debate, learning and networking.

The Private Markets Pensions Investment Forum, held at Ironmongers’ Hall in London, featured more than 30 speakers and panellists – including major investors and asset allocators across the UK pensions industry, government-backed organisations, private investment managers and other leading stakeholders.

They presented a range of views, led debates and discussions, and posed questions about the state of pensions investment in private markets and the contribution that these assets will play in the future success of the industry and for the economy at large.

Sponsored by Carne Group, Cheyne Capital, Foresight Group, Future Planet Capital, LCP, Rebalance Earth and World Fund, the conference also featured two panels of Devil’s Advocates.

During the event the Devil’s Advocates posed challenging questions to the conference speakers and gave summaries of their impressions and key takeaways.

“The conference was a great success due the outstanding turnout, the preponderance of original thought on offer and the highly active engagement of the participants”, said SGPE Founder, Stephen Glover.

The next in-person conference will be SGPE’s 2nd Annual Pensions Asset Allocation Summit, in June. Registration for the event is now open.
