We are delighted to announce that Neil Mason will be joining our Advisory Board.

Since our establishment in 2021, our Advisory Board, formed of senior pensions experts and professional practitioners, has played an incredibly crucial role in the creation, and development of our in-person and online conferences, where we debate the key challenges and opportunities currently facing the UK pensions industry.

Neil leads the £6bn+ Surrey Pension Fund, with near 130,000 members and over 500 employers. Surrey is one of the 11 LGPS partner funds that make up the Border to Coast asset pool.

Neil believes excellence in service delivery is best achieved through an integrated pension service with equal emphasis on all elements of the business, and a laser focus on the customer.

“I am honoured and delighted to be able to contribute to the Advisory Board,” said Neil.

“The LGPS is currently at the forefront of pensions policy and I relish the opportunity to give it the focus that I passionately believe it deserves, as well as learning from such esteemed and expert colleagues across the DB and DC on the Advisory Board, in helping to create interesting and relevant SGPE conference content,” he said.

“Neil brings a wealth of relevant experience, knowledge and wisdom to our Advisory Board.  We are thrilled that he has joined us and greatly look forward to his invaluable advice in shaping future events,” said SGPE Founder, Stephen Glover.
